Edulaw:

The Pathway to European Smart Education in Agri-Environmental Law (EDULAW)

Context and need.

The digital transition in education has shown that simply moving content onto online platforms is not enough. Materials, methods, and tools must be redesigned to ensure quality, inclusion, and continuity of learning. EDULAW responds to this need with a focus on agri-environmental and food law, aiming to build a shared European base of reusable resources, practices, and teaching tools.

Objectives.

  • Develop high-quality digital learning content through a new educational application.
  • Strengthen the digital and pedagogical skills of both teachers and learners.
  • Provide inclusive, high-impact learning opportunities.
  • Promote networking among partners and with experts in educational technologies and digital providers.

Technologies and tools.

  • InCreDi: a smart application and digital platform for learning, accessible online/offline and across devices (PC, tablet, smartphone).
  • User guidelines to ensure that tools and features are genuinely accessible.
  • The e-learning course “EU Agri-Environmental Law” and shared teaching materials, integrated with case studies, videos/vlogs, and tests.
  • Digital storytelling and problem-solving webinars to discuss current challenges and practical applications.

Rurinnova's role.

RURINNOVA contributed to transferring and adapting the tools to real-world contexts, supporting the development of content and case studies that connect legal frameworks with practical training and professional needs. Our added value was keeping a strong focus on usability, replicability, and adoption of the digital tools - not only on their production.

Results.

  • Increased partner capacity to deliver high-quality, more inclusive digital education through reusable and scalable tools.
  • A more harmonised European model for teaching and discussing complex legal topics, supported by a shared set of resources and practices.
  • Strengthened technical, language, and intercultural skills among participants through the transnational dimension.

Lessons learned and replicability.

  • Digital education works best when supported by method: guidelines, case studies, assessment, and interactive activities are part of the solution.
  • Digital learning is more effective when it integrates content with application (cases and problem-solving).
  • A modular toolset (app, materials, webinars) is replicable across topics: the subject changes, the architecture remains.
