AgriFuture is coming to a close – the business idea validation programme promoted by the Startup Desk of Sardegna Ricerche, in collaboration with Rurinnova S.r.l. Benefit Corporation. The programme was created to support young innovators, researchers, and professionals in developing high-tech solutions for Sardinia’s agriculture and agri-food sector.
Over the past year, the programme has supported ten selected teams, guiding them from concept development to field validation. Projects focused on the sustainability of production processes, the digitalisation of farm businesses, the efficient management of natural resources, and the adoption of innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence, IoT, and agricultural robotics.
Rurinnova delivered the training, mentoring, and testing phases, facilitating dialogue between research, businesses, and local stakeholders, and helping to strengthen a regional ecosystem for rural innovation.
In the coming months, AgriFuture’s final event will showcase the results and the projects developed by the teams, concluding a pathway that has brought together knowledge, sustainability, and entrepreneurship to help shape the future of Sardinian agriculture.
